Hi there, my name is Shelly and I am looking for a new family that will give me a chance at happiness.
My life before the rescue was very rough and there hasn't been a whole lot of happiness in my life so far.
I came into the rescue through the shelter so not much is known about me, but my foster mommy thinks I was used as a puppy mill and had my teeth filed so I couldn't protect myself.
Being in the rescue has been wonderful, and they've helped me to feel much better and begin to know how a bulldog should be loved and cared for.
I've been in the kennel for the last 7 months, but luckily I have now been fostered. I'm still looking for my forever home where I can be an only dog, because I am a territorial girl. I would probably be best with older kids since I am still working on my manners and can easily knock over a little one. I don't know if I like cats, I don't know if I've ever even seen one.
I'm a super sweet girl that loves people! I think I should be a lap dog and follow my foster parents all over the house. I'm a quiet girl, but will paw at you when I think I need attention and rollover to let you pet my tummy.
I love going for walks, car rides, and just hanging out. I always have my tongue hanging out which adds to my cuteness, and my foster mommy just discovered that I like baths!
Oh, and don't worry about me missing my teeth, I can still eat kibble and my foster mommy gives me kongs with peanut butter to keep me entertained.
I'm a good girl when it comes to getting my eye drops, I sit very patiently for them; and you can just slip my pills in with my food, I don't mind.
I really hope you'll consider making me part of your family and can't wait to meet you!
There is an adoption fee for Shelly. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped
