Betty
20170206_081934.jpg This is Betty, she is 8 months old. I always wanted a bulldog, and boy I didn't know what I was getting myself into. What an exciting and fun little fat ball of energy she is. The entertainment goes on forever. I am just so over joyed by her, but I will mention my pitbull and chihuahua poodle mix thinks she is crazy. She is so special though, the monster I got her from had her in a dog crate in the back of his truck she was covered in poop and he opened the door pulled her out by her front feet and she jumped in my arms and gave me a hug and it was love at first sight, but let's be honest after the condition I saw her in she could have had three eyes and I would have taken her. After researching her papers I am guessing she was a puppy mill dump off she had gotten to old to sell at a pet store, I hate that technically I supported a puppy mill but there was no way I was letting her go back home with him. I am thankfull everyday of my life that I found this little girl I live her with all my heart. Thanks for reading my story, and having me in your group.
Kellie

Hi Kellie, you will be blessed for your kindness! Your baby is gorgeous and one lucky bulldog to meet you. Lots of hugs and kisses for you and your bullie.
P.S. I also got my boy from Chinese puppy mill, and felt bad about supporting with my money those monsters, but I always think that I saved my Tank from bad fate, and feel better.

Ohhhhh Kellie you're a good soul. Betty wouldn't have jumped in your arms full of poop if she wasn't desperate. Good job saving her!!! :2thumbs: one of my son has 2 pitbulls, Nyala burns them out. My other son has chihuahua, a fluffy white dog n a malamute mix with wolf and burns them too....so not because they are bulldogs they are all lazy. You keep Betty going like that and you'll have less issue health wise!*please keep your photos coming in. We like to see our member's babies growup.

Tears in my eyes.... thank you for saving her!

Welcome to you and Betty!! What a heartwarming story!!! Thank you for sharing! You will love it here, so much support and knowledge!! I hope you post more photos please :)

TY for rescuing Betty. She's really cute.

I am guessing she was a puppy mill dump off she had gotten to old to sell at a pet store

I would think this an unlikely scenario. Most mill dogs that are not fit for a Pet store are usually suffering from an underlying medical condition...extremely bad hips or a genetic heart condition are most common.
You may have just gotten lucky and found yourself a real gem.
Has she been checked by you Vet yet?
High quality grain-free food is very important.

Betty has been thoroughly vet cheked we have had surgery for her cherry eye and she is on eating Canidae dog food and so areall my dogs. I am trying to get her tear stains underived control now that her surgery is over. I love her and she is great, as far as her puppy mill background she is from the Kruse mill in Iowa I have found several of her dogs online she send to people in different states to get rid of them, I am just glad that I found Betty.

Bless you for taking this sweet girl, and giving her the life she deserves! Can't wait to see baby girl grow up!
