Welcome Ruby Girl to rescue! She was surrendered to a local shelter when her elderly owner fell ill. Ruby has been sick for a while and has been having some discharge, so the owner had been putting a diaper on her. But they had neglected to keep her as clean as they should so an infection has set in. She also has a very large growth on her rear end. In spite of all this, she was just cruising the shelter making friends with everyone. She acts like she has never met a stranger.She was taken straight to our vet for an exam and surgery for a spay and removal of the tumor. We think she is 6 years old, and we hope she will up and going in a few days. We wish her a speedy recovery.
