Help Needed! Is this what ear mite bites look like ?

Poor Gus is our 8 week old bull dog I have noticed over the last couple days and increase in here scratching today while he was cuddling with me I noticed his year looked red and a bit inflamed so I flipped it up to see what was going on inside and I noticed some tiny What look like bite marks is this ear mites ? I have a vet appointment for him at 4:30 but just out of curiosity

Hm, I don't think you can see ear mites without a microscope, but I might be wrong. Let us knwo what the vet says! Hope Gus is doing ok!

You can’t see the mites, but something is going on in his ear... lots of brown which isn’t normal

Looks like waxy build up in the ear which could make him want to scratch it. Have you cleaned his ears at all? I try to clean ears once a week and use Zymox.

Ear mites look like coffee grounds. This looks like the beginning of a bacterial infection.

Aflter looking at the pics with a PC instead of my phone, I'm with Cbrugs, the ear just looks waxy and the little bumps DO look like irritation from scratching.
A good cleaning may be all that's needed.
Please let us know what the Vet says.
