It has been a month since Bentley had his ultrasound on his heart..the teck said a month ago it was a grade 5/6 heart murmur..my vet said last night it is a grade 4 just like she heard befor..she said it s no better but know worse..Bentley shows no signs of being sick..we will go back in another month to see what is sounds like..we will continue to go once a month till he is done growing..On the 4th of November he will be 5 months old he weighed in last night at 28.7lbs..my baby is getting big..please continue to keep Bentley in your prayers..

Sending prayers your way...
BTW what do they do for a heart murmur for dogs? Just monitor him?!!

Hoping for the best for your baby and hope it will improve some as he gets older. :pray2:

if it's just a murmur, I'm not sure what they do. I have two who were diagnosed with murmurs then it was finally diagnosed as pulmonic stenosis (PS). One is on meds, the other not.

Bentley is always in my prayers! The Diva sends her love and a BIG HUG!

Ahh heart murmurs the bane of my existence!!! Tubby was diagnosised with one from his first vet check and they knew right away it wasn't a puppy murmur. He has remained steady at a level 4. We did the ultra sound and they said there is a hole in one of the tubes so some blood spirts out of it. They said he would live a perfectly happy life and we could reultra sound him at 1 but we have no plans to because he shows no signs out any distress. In fact I think the hole somehow has enhanced his performance and speed LOL Bentley will be in our prayers because I remember the mental break down I had when the vet gave us the diagnosis. Truly one of the worst moments of my life till I pulled myself back together and started to research

Tubbys was diagnosised as Ventricular septal defect

Hang in there! I wish I could offer some advice too but I know nothing about a grade 4/5. Our pitty Ace had a heart murmur and it never gave him any problems. It had a be a low grade. Bentley's in my prayers.

Sending prayers to you both. And hugs

thank you for updating us...GOD bless!

This has to be heartbreaking for you! But I think others have given you some hope. Not all murmurs are created equal! I am sending positive vibes Bentley's way--and yours!
