The collars have metal seat belt buckles just like a car, just smaller. They are in my opinion one of the best collars on the market. Buckle down has over 1000 patterns that you can get them in. They are really affordable, so pups have many of them (50 plus) and have never had any issues fading or the buckle breaking (even when they get chewed on).
