We're doing fine

We are still unpacking (never ending supply of boxes) but we are slowly but surely getting settled in.

We still have the Great Dane - long story but there are potentially more health issues so we don't feel it is responsible to rehome him at this time. Fortunately though, our house is large enough to keep them separated - and they have been spending some time together. We find that Curly doesn't care about Jawnie when Jawnie is calm. It's when Jawnie gets all playful puppy like he starts caring that he is around. That is when we separate them.

Magically (knock on wood) Curly's itchy ear issue cleared up with the move and he also has zero tear stains now. I think it may have been the antibiotics the vet gave him for his ears that cleared it up (he only has problems with one side) Not sure but he's looking quite handsome these days.

Glad to hear things have improved, fingers crossed they will continue. I love the pictures. So jealous of the gorgeous scenery and Curly looks really good.
Dogs are strange, our dachshund can't stand it when Monty runs (which doesn't happen often!). He has to run alongside and yap in his ear and try to stop him. Monty frequently just runs right over him like he's not there. It's a shame though as it does put him off running and we have tried everything to stop Barney doing it, no luck.

We were very fortunate with the hail. We are above the clouds so we only got a tiny bit of hail. (See pictures below this is from this morning- clouds over Colorado Springs).

(From Stu) Ft Carson is nothing like working in the Pentagon! I have PT every morning at 5am and need to run with the other officers. I will be back to my 25 year old body in no time. The altitude here is no joke too! Please give us a shout when you are around. We would love to link up again.
