Prayers appreciated...

Tracey, I'm so sorry to hear that Roxie isn't doing well. Bless her little heart and yours too! I hope y'all will get some relief from this soon--I know it's exhausting and heartbreaking. Sending positive thoughts your way. Hugs!

Update on Roxie...

She has been hospitalized for overnight at the least… getting labs and IV fluids. If she can regain her strength the vet wants to do a biopsy on her, possible on Friday. She doesn't believe that this is cushings or thyroid related, she believes that she may be suffering from lymphoma (upper GI). If the biopsy comes clean then she is going to refer me to a specialist because her blood work is NOT consistent w/a dog that looks like she does right now. Roxie has lost 6 pounds in the last couple of weeks.

If she does have cancer, it depends on what stage she is at where we can make decisions. We can do chemo… IV and pills and she said that MANY dogs live w/cancer and have several good years. But of course we have a LOT of things to consider.

I'm trying to stay positive, but deep inside I'm beyond devastated… I can't even believe that this is happening. I feel like I've been punched in the gut  I wore my EBN sweatshirt today, because I at least felt like you guys were w/me in spirit… I can't tell you how alone I felt at the hospital this morning. I appreciate all the prayers and good wishes… I can't even type… :*(

poor roxie girl!!!! hurry and get better asap!!! :(

Oh hun.. i am so sorry. I'm gonna stay positive with you. You know, it can it could be a dozen things. Vets just want to make sure it's never the worst case scenario.
Fingers crossed she starts eating and feeling better soon. :assurred::daisy:

Lifting Roxie up in prayer..... praying that its nothing serious, and that she'll get the best treatment possible! She already has a great mama by her side. We all feel your pain, Just know we are praying for her and for you... and hope she gets to feeling better soon!!

Spent the day in bed, so very tired, so except for taking care of Cami's
needs (meals & potty time) I went right back to bed until about 4:30 pm.
One of the VERY few perks of being disabled, making your own schedules!

EBNer's do have your back, Tracey, I feel their concern for y'all and I feel
the power of their prayers, mine join theirs and all of us hold all of you up
to Jesus for correct & quick diagnosis and recovery for your beloved Roxie.

Sending loving hugs and please, do not hesitate to call me!

Got a call from the vet earlier… Roxie had her surgery, got her biopsy done. Everything looked good, now just waiting on results. She does have a mild case of pancreatitis, but apparently she took her surgery like a CHAMP!!! She's been barking up a storm, and trying to get out of her cage… Lol They are going to keep her till Friday. I can't THANK YOU all enough for all the prayers and good wishes. It's obviously working wonders on my girl!!!

The pancreatitis could cause the not eating and drinking and it is very painful. Maybe that's the problem and not cancer. Keeping my fingers crossed and you and Roxie in my thoughts.

Hi Tracey, I agree with others we are all here with you and will continue to keep you and Roxie in our thoughts and prayers. Sending out positive thoughts that Roxie's tests come back negative for cancer and that she can be treated.

sending lots of healing prayers to Roxie and lots of love and prayers to you.
