I have been giving my dogs Sentinel for many years and my dogs have never had fleas. Sentinel is for heartworms and fleas. I'm not sure, but I think it causes fleas not to be able to reproduce. Last year I got a new vet who recommended that I use Advantage, the liquid you squeeze along their backs, in addition to Sentinel, because it also works on ticks. I really don't like the stuff you apply topically, so I haven't been doing that, but we never get ticks anyway.

We got trifectus, 4 months ago for the first time. Once done I will not use it again, Canelo's dose is so large he won't eat it. I break it into 4 pieces, wrap each piece in cheese and give it to him that way. We are moving to chews. This past weekend we visited family that live on a section of land, we got home and the dogs had fleas. I bathed them and the trifectus did the rest.
