URGENT!!! Is this a seizure????

I went and picked up the pain meds. Unbelievably, he is walking much better now, with only a slight limp. We will see how he is doing in the morning :)

I just now saw your post, poor Mayhem :( I hope he's doing much better now!

A few months ago, Barkley had what sounds like the same thing happen a few times. Every time was while he was in his crate and sounded like he was screaming for probably about 30 seconds or so (He never barks or makes any noise so him screaming like that really scared me!). The first 2 times were in the middle of the night so by the time I got to him, it was all over. I just thought maybe he was having nightmares or something. The 3rd and last time was when I walking in the door after getting home from work and I opened his crate and he kept doing it for about 5 seconds or so.

I took him to the vet the next day and they said it didn't sound like seizures but if it happened again to bring him in for bloodwork. Thankfully it hasn't happened again (that I know of).

I also got to thinking maybe it was a leg cramp since it only happened while he was in his crate for awhile, or maybe he got his paw stuck in the crate while he was sleeping or something. I'm just glad it hasn't happened again!!

I'll be praying for Mayhem and hopefully it doesn't happen to him again either!! :)

I'm late to the game too and I hope Mayhem is doing better. I had a Dalmatian that had grand mal seizures and I never heard him scream during one (we had him for 11 years and started experiencing seizures around 1). The scariest one I saw was him gasp for air and then fall down into a seizure. But even then no noise.

my French/Boston mix talks in his sleep. Not a whimper here and there but literally barks and even howls in his sleep. Very crisp howls. He sleeps in a crate that is in out room and every time he howls we check on him and he's just dreaming.

How is Mayhem doing now? I just watched the video, it's surely is strange how he's tilting his paw to the side, maybe he sprained it somehow? Reminds me of when I twisted my ankle really badly, I had to walk like a duck because I could not put any pressure on one side.

Im so sorry to hear about Mayhem ,i hope he feels better soon xx sending hugs xx

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and prayers! He is no longer limping at all and we have no other "seizure like episodes". He goes back to the vet tomorrow for more digital xrays, which they will compare with the ones taken 2 weeks ago. They are trying to determine whether the new meds are working to truly clear up the infection in his lungs that has been resistant to meds so far.

I will be praying for you boy, that his xrays look much improved! And our paws are all crossed, too(it's hard to walk....):pray2::pray2::heart::heart::heart::heart:

I took Mayhem to the vet today for more X-rays. The vet said that he definitely wasn't worse and possibly a little better. The images were sent to the specialist and I should hear from them tomorrow. At this point, I really don't have much to report, but I wanted to update you on the status.

My pit bull yips, growls, whines, and barks in he sleep, and sometimes moves her feet quite a bit. We always wake her up and she is so confused LOL! Hopefully your baby is just dreaming too!
