Hi,

I have a 6 yr old intact male English Bulldog named Augustus. When I got Augustus, I believe he was a little less than 2 years old. I did not get him from a reputable breeder. Actually, I believe I saved him from being a crate living dog. He wasn’t living in the worst of conditions; however, he wasn’t living the best neither. I got him in July of 2020. I raised him with his well being front and centered. I have worked from home all the time, so he has never endured long hours of being alone at home. He gets constant attention, love, playtime, and socialization every single day. I moved from Dallas, TX to NJ two years ago. Recently, whenever I have people visiting me, and I begin a conversation with them, he gets extremely jealous. He starts clinging onto my leg with aggression and begins to nibble at my leg. When I go to remove him, he goes full attack mode towards me. I am never afraid of him turning the aggression towards strangers because he is an angel towards strangers. He is very affectionate towards strangers and loves their attention; however, with me, I cannot hold conversations with visitors while at home. In public, I have no issues with Augustus. He does not interfere with my conversations at all. This just started when I moved to NJ. In TX, I lived in an apartment with just him and my cat. Now, I live in a house with my parents. I have my own apartment as well within the house, so it is not like we are sharing a dwelling together with them. But, now, he has starting this behavioral issue. Whenever I leave and do not take him, he gets very anxious, but he then stays with my mom. He loves my mom while I am not home. He is the sweetest dog possible with her while I am not home. He does not leave her side. However, when I get home, she cannot come into my home or close to me if I am in their dining room table. He charges at her and cannot stand her. I wanted to write this vivid description for someone to see what is going on and possibly help me out because he does not care if he bites me when he gets into those moods. I am his owner and person who raised him with the best quality of life possible and he does not care to bite me. Hopefully someone can recommend or provide advice on this.
