Harvey is getting neutered tomorrow - 3 days after his 1st birthday

I made the decision to have Harvey neutered tomorrow, 3 days after his 1st Birthday. Wish me luck.

The vet office said, no food after 8 PM the day before (tonight). So Dr. Buthchko in Riverside is doing it. He wants Harvey by 10:00 AM - and he will be available sometime in the afternoon.

He will be very hungry, poor thing. I know just like in any surgery, they are trying to avoid any food in the stomach to avoid possible aspiration. Question is can i give him his nuvet pill at least? what else can I do?
