Oh, taught makes it sound like I had some sort of structured plan.

Bella is super food motivated and she always sits (or lays) for treats. So, I thnk that's key, having a good "lay" or "down" command...especially for treats or whatever else motivates your dog. I held a treat in my hand, she sat in front of me. I did the gun motion, said "bang", and then said "lay"...then she went down. (Again, she's already quick to sit/lay for treats. That's why in that one vid, she goes down before I even say anything. Lol)

It took only one time for her to learn to lay for "bang"...

What you don't see in the vids is me turning her onto her side before I give the treat. She still doesn't follow through with rolling onto her side on her own. Maybe it's too hard for her, I don't know. We'll keep trying. The vids are from day one of training. Lol
