So sorry to hear. I think all the advice you have been given is great.If you can ,try to switch her to a totally different dog food like Honest Kitchen Spruce for a month to see if that helps. I would try to get Gumbo off both the Apoquel and prednisone ASAP. The Cytopoint shot is much safer.Since it might be yeast would be good if you could wash Gumbo with ketohex or Curaseb or Malaseb shampoo twice weekly for a couple of weeks then weekly.

I'm so sorry to see your baby like this. Did the vet do a geriatric lab profile on her? Do you know what her A1C or blood glucose was? I ask because I had a schnauzer that had diabetes during her elderly days along with a diminished defense system because of it.

When you go to the new vet take as much information that you can from the old vet. I'm praying for your baby and you.
