Update on Jack's Heartworm Treatment

Well, since I posted earlier about Jack's heartworm treatment, I thought I'd give y'all an update. Jack had his final two injections on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. We picked him up this morning, as he had to spend two nights at the vet. He didn't have any complications, the two-night stay is standard. He is doing great, doesn't seem even to be sore at the sites of the injections. So, we're halfway through the treatment--Yay!

The last month went very well--much easier than I expected. Jack is really a laid back guy and it wasn't necessary to keep him crated all the time. And I didn't have to take him out on the leash to tinkle and poop--I only had to take him out without Winnie. He didn't have any complications at all, not even any coughing.

So, keep your fingers crossed for Jack! I hope he does as well in the coming month as he did last month. We can't wait till this is over--I feel so mean not letting Jack and Winnie play! Winnie loves her brudder so much! You should have seen how joyfully ​she greeted him when he came home today!
