Saturday we took the Princess in to see her new permanent vet and she was given a clean bill of health with one exception. She has this tooth in the very front that protrudes like a swordfish, it's very loose like if she hit's it just right it'll pop right off and when she runs into our legs that little tooth hurts LOL!

The vet said that there is no way around her having to be put out in order to remove it. I don't want to put her out for this, I think she's been way to much. It's the one on her right side.

Have you ever thought about sedating your dog to have a tooth removed? Would you do it?

If it improves her quality of life and/or health I would do it as long as I trusted the vet. If it isn't affecting health or QoL then I would hold off as long as possible but that's just my opinion.

I agree with Todd - if it's not affecting her - I wouldn't even bother. I would take the pokes. LOL - Not worth the risk, personally. (Only if its not hurting her, etc)

She is just to damn pretty!

I would leave it be -- if she needs anything else done down the road I would address it then, but would not put her under just for the removal of the tooth.

I agree w/the gang… if something else comes up then have it done. She is too MUCH!!! :drawheart:

I too agree with Todd if she needs something later down the track have it done then if not let her keep it if it is not causing too much problems now

Bullies have a hard time with sedation. I agree with everyone. If it isn't causing her pain, I would leave it.

I like that tooth sticking out. Adds character. Let it ride...

Leave her tooth alone and buy some band aids for your legs when she bumps into them.

Why couldn't he numb her gums and if it's loose, just latch on and pull it?

If the tooth is loose it may eventually fall off by itself. When Finn was around a year old he had to go under anesthesia to get a broken tooth pulled out; had to be done b/c it was creating an abscess. In Elsa's case tho, I'd just let it be.

I'm agreeing with all of the above...

I agree with everyone also!

That sweet girl, i love her face.
