Hi all,

My bully Tate has had a skin wound on his hind leg for over a year now. The vet at first treated him with a cephalosporin antibiotic (Simplicef) which seemed to "cure" it but once the regimen ended, the wound recurred. The latest vet took a smear of the wound and found that one of the bacteria is pseudomonas, somewhat hard to treat. He's now on a combo of Baytril and Clavamox. In addition, I'm doing a Hexachlor K shampoo treatments on him. I'm hoping the antibiotics will work for him, and if not, he will require a biopsy.

Have any of your bullys had a pseudomonas infection before?

OH my gosh... I've never heard of it before. Can you post a pic?

Never heard of it. Several months ago Louie had a super bad skin infection that was actually turning green and stunk so bad. He was put on Prednisone and 2 weeks of Clavamox. This treatment cleared it up but did a number on his gut and the Prednisone was making him pee in the house because he couldn’t hold it.

I would definitely give NuStock a try. Couple yrs ago Jake completely ripped all of his top paw. Lawnmower n anxiety. Don’t ask….The paw never got the chance to get infected cause I used first bag balm for the first couple days then finished with NuStock. Took a good week before removing all bandages n then let it aired. Worked like a charm.

Thanks gang. The wound SEEMS to be improving. The area is very thick too, if that makes sense. I did get the Nu Stock and have applied it once already a few days ago and will do it again today .
i’m attaching a photo of what it looks like.

OMG that looks awful... crazy, it's almost like when Walter's anal gland burst!!! I'm so sorry...

Poor baby, no suggestions. Just wanted to send you both a hug and prayers for a speedy recovery. I so hate when the furbabies are sick.
