Bella is now eating around the rice in her bland meals. Is it OK to give her just chicken, no rice? I can't believe she's being finicky about rice. She literally walked away from her bowl after digging through the rice for the bits of chicken.

Do you cook the chicken together with the rice to make the rice taste more like chicken? When Castor eats rice I use short grained rice and cook it in lots of water for a long time as it is less dry than long grained rice.

the key is you need to infuse the rice with the chicken taste. Next time, simmer the chicken with a little chicken broth and mixed the rice in. I bet, she will consume everything.

You guys are brilliant! I put a little pumpkin in her bowl, and she crushed it! So, I decided to put in the chicken and rice (and I topped it with pumpkin). She gobbled it all! No rice spillage at all!
