So I got a bit of disappointing news last night. Louie and his siblings were running around playing with their mama yesterday and mama landed on Louie and now he has a sprained ankle and needs to be on crate rest for 7-10 days. The breeder said there shouldn't be any permanent damage. They did an X-ray and will do another one on Monday. So instead of picking him up tomorrow, I have to (hopefully) wait until next weekend. I know it's only an extra week but it's still hard.

:cry::*(:hissycry::pouting:

Awwwwwwwa and were waiting patiently like you! :pouting:

Btw, dont want to sound harsh but if I were you, I would have the breeder sign on the contract that their vet approved there's NO damage done. I dont like the word "should".

Definitely. And honestly, I don't even know if the breeder said the world "shouldn't" or if that is my word. She very well could have said "won't." I was so distraught afterwards I couldn't think straight. But hopefully it's just a sprain and heals quickly. I'll know more on Monday after the X-ray. The breeder is a vet tech and works with a bully specialist so I know he will be taken care of.

Awwww. Poor Louie :( All I pray is that he gets better, and his little ankle heals up perfectly. He'll be home before you know it!

OH that is awful!!! Hard is right!!! Jeez the wait gets terrible. Well post here all week and we will all do our best to help you pass the time :)

oh no... I'm so sorry.............. for the whole situation. Hope all is well real quick. Keep busy again :( prayers

I think the breeder is making it up because they can't let Louie go yet lol. Who could?

Oh that's sad, that waiting is awful you just want to get them home.

Hope Louie's ankle heals perfect

Oh no! I'll be keeping Louie in my thoughts and hoping his recovery will go perfectly.

Waiting is the worst and now I have to wait even longer! :girlcry:

Gosh I'm so sorry... and I know you are so disappointed. Hopefully little Louie will heal up soon!!!

She very well could have said "won't."
Not even a seasoned Vet could/would make that statement. I'd want some kind of assurance that any issue that might come about for an agreed upon time period will be addressed at the expense of the seller. Put it in the contract and protect yourself.
