I'm going to a job fair this afternoon. I have a folder full of resumes and I wanted to make sure that I had enough for today. Otis is being his usual lazy self sleeping on the bed. I opened the folder and this GIANT spider popped out. I'm talking horns and fangs, spitting neon green venom at me. This thing meant to kill me! In the face of such a monster I screamed like a little girl.

Out of nowhere my Ut-oh comes charging out of the bedroom as fierce as he could be, growling and barking, every hair on his body standing up to save me from whatever terror was threatening my life.

I love him

Awwww... someone deserves an extra long belly rub!!!! :luv:

AH, what a great protector!...... Did he eat the spider?

Awe..... Doesn't it feel great to know they will do anything to protect us. Such love and bravery!

I'm just stunned at his reaction to my fear. Here I'm thinking he sees me as just a pillow for his big head or food dispenser, the look in his eyes when he came charging out of that room... he would have killed for me or died trying.
Awwww... someone deserves an extra long belly rub!!!! :luv:

He got them :)

AH, what a great protector!...... Did he eat the spider?

No. I sucked that sucker up in the hand vac.

Awww what a good protector he is!!

Yay Otis!!!! When the going got tough, Otis got going!!!!! until then it is all snuggles and belly rubs. But Otis knows what needs to be done to take care of mum. And Otis is such a big bwave Bully!!! Spiders are scary.

Way to go, Otis! You made your mom proud! :2thumbs:
Isn't amazing how much they can read our emotions? On top of that extra belly rub, go on and give Otis an extr treat, too, perhaps.
