Hi EB Family!
It’s been a while since I last posted but in a way that is good news because we have all been living as a big happy family.
Curly and the Great Dane are best friends. It’s the most bizarre thing that I have ever experienced and I’m counting my lucky stars that Curly’s aggression didn’t develop any further. I 100% know that this is not common and I’m still not letting my guard down.
Curly in fact hasn’t had an episode once we found out his triggers - he gets aggressive when he is hungry (yes hangry is a thing with bullies) and whenever come over he gets “jealous” if he isn’t the center of attention.
We were hardcore trying to get his 71 lb self down to 65 for a while now to no avail and this was also around the time we got the GD. We also started separating him when people come over until he calms down.
Once we decided to stop dieting him and started separating him, he stopped the aggressive behavior. He has been an angel for about almost a year now. I will admit I am still nervous about Curly having another “episode” - I don’t think that feeling will ever go away but I’m happy that we were fortunate to have things work out in a way we can handle.
And as you all been waiting for - pics!
