HELP!! my dogs chewed a food coloring bottle! do I need to take them to the vet

I had my dogs outside after their training session for just a few minutes, when i brought them in they are covered in green, I mean from head to paws!! OMG!! We were doing Alana's science project yesterday and we must have left a bottle outside.. Is this safe for them or will I need to take them to the animal hospital? The bottle is about half empty, and it's one of the small bottles.. and they have so much on their coats that I'm not even sure they ate much at all.. any suggestions? I will try to post some pictures a little later, thanks,

You can put in your food..frosting etc..I'm sure it's edible! Bet they look good!

What are the ingredients on the bottle? Usually food dyes are fine to ingest even in higher quantities. And if it is such a small bottle, should be okay. If you were really worried, sometimes there is a number on the bottle you could call and ask. But I am sure they will be okay, especially if most is on their coats! Can't wait to see the pictures....

WHERE ARE THE PICTURES!!!?? Hee hee hee -- Also's coat will match his beautiful eyes.

Food coloring is edible so they should be fine.... I looked at a few sites online, all said it is not toxic to them

Thank you guys! I feel better now! I gave them both a bath. They both ate it their tongue and lips are soaked green! Ugghh!! I will upload a picture when all the kids are in bed!
