my story of how i acquired so many is sort of funny.. i actually went to pet store to buy cat treats when i spotted my first love.. i know i should buy from those places (don't judge me.) she was so stinking cute so i came out with her.. well, i went back a month later just to pick up her papers and came home with another one.. (im not allowed back in that place), but i couldn't help it..
well, after a year we lost our second one and our first one was just as sad as we were.. so we decided to get another one but this time we searched and searched and found a breeder that wasnt to far from here and we traveled a few hours to pick him out. (that would be our odie). odie got a cherry eye, which is nothing to serious as you know for that type of dog, but anyway, we took him to the vet and the vet was going to do surgery, we dropped him off in morning and when i picked him up that evening he was having trouble walking.. i asked them what was wrong with him and was told he was still just waking up from surgery, so i took him home and put him in his kennel and next morning he was dragging his legs.. i was mortified.. called vet and he said he could have some bruising and said i could stop and pick up some medicine.. i asked how do you get bruising from a cherry eye surgery,, anyhow, long story short after 3 visits later to a different vet we decided it was time to take him out of town to a specialist. they told us he would never walk again and surgery was out of the question,, i couldn't believe what i was hearing.. they tried to say it was congenital , which to this day i dont believe, but they sent me home with nothing but a dog that could barely walk.. i called our breeder and they guarantee their dogs, meaning if its inherited or congenital they stand behind it.. Ok, i did not want my money back, i wanted to keep my odie.. so what they do is give me another puppy... ha.. ok.. this is dog number three.. now wait, there's more.. lol
well, odie's replacement cost more then what we paid for him so we made the agreement that we would breed dog number 3 when she was old enough and give breeders pick of litter... well,,we did this and she only had two.. male and female, well they choose the male and i was going to sell the female to the right person.. needless to say gucci is now going on 4 years old.. i couldn't get rid of her.. shes so sweet.. ok, go ahead judge me.. lol.. so i have four and i wont have anymore... .. i will always have one no matter what.. i love that breed.. all because my cat needed treats.. which i forgot to get.. she wasn't happy at all that night..
by the way.. our breeder did take our odie for a few weeks but only to get him better... they got him walking and no vet could do it.. odie would have turned 6 this year ,

.
so there you have it.. i still have 4.. even though we lost my odie this past year, i was ok because i still had three but then i could not help getting the rescue we recently got.. im terrible, but i needed to save that poor dog,, i guess 4 is meant to be my number.. lol
the breeders are the best ever.. they don't just sell you a dog they care about them and they are also vet techs so the are the best for breeding for health, they have saved the lives of 3 of my dogs when the vets have given up on them, i will always get mine from them..
