Pebbles
Pebbles is according to the vet, overweight. She weighs 66 lbs & she thinks she should be closer to 50-55.

She only gets for breakfast & dinner 1/2 cup holistic anchovy & 1/2 cup W/D low calorie food. A Small amount of 93% lean Jenny O grilled turkey sprinkled on top of food.

It is so hot & humid here in Houston a short walk/run to the mail box & around the field is all she can handle without overheating.

i was thinking of a treadmill.

Anyone ever use one for their dog?

I can't offer opinions on this one, i've seen alot of funny videos though. Hopefully someone here has experience and can give you some advice.

In the meantime I have to say, Pebbles.. you are so adorable!!!! I just want to eat that sweet little face!!!

I have a treadmill and Punk hates me using it. She will sit in the corner with her back to me when I am on it. When she doesn't think I am looking she will get on it and stand there. Go figure.

I use to for my GS. He didn’t need to lose weight but was more for exercise as GS needs to burn more energy. Works great.

BTW what’s 1/2 cup W/D low calorie food?

Hank LOVES the treadmill! Ours is just a walmart one that i've had for a hundred years but he thinks it's great. Now it has a dual purpose... cloths hanger and dog walker ;)

Thanks

So y’all are using regular people treadmills, not dog ones.

I think the good thing about them is that they are smaller & easier to store than a human one.

I cant feed her less as she is only getting 1/2 cup of holistic anchovy & 1/2 cup science diet W/D low calorie food twice a day

Can you post a picture of your girl form over top to show her waist?

Yes, she is a little round. How old is she now?

Doc says she should lose 12-16 lbs. and get down from 66 to 50-55 lbs.

Hard to get much exercise in Houston as it’s so humid in summer.

Winter/fall we walked 3/4 mile 5 nights a week.

Maybe change food? Wet/can food is very high calorie ... would you consider something like The Honest Kitchen or Spot farms? They are dehydrated raw.. costs is higher but she’ll thin down
