We saw him earlier. He was happy to see us, definitely not lethargic, but doesn't have much energy either. I'm just glad he's doing better. Poor baby has two IV's administering different antibiotics.
When I asked the vet how come no doctor was able to see anything, he said aspiration pneumonia can progress quickly and could of happened just a day ago.
They also saw he has a hiatal hernia and are thinking it's contributing to the regurgitation. They're going to be talking to a specialist tomorrow. Wellie may have to have it corrected when he goes in for his other procedures. Provided of course he makes it through this OK.
Thanks everyone. You guys are the best.
As I was typing the above his vet called:
He's much better. They took him off fluids because he's drinking and eating on his own (he got his appetite back), and the dr. said he even rolled over for a belly rub when he saw him coming. Wellie's a love bug. So they're very happy with the improvement. But it's all about what the X-ray shows tomorrow. If they're happy with it, they'll be sending him home tomorrow night, if they're still unsure, they'll at least be moving him out of ICU into the secondary care unit and will keep him there longer.
