Wallygator is sick...

Ugh. This brings me back to my dark days with Tyson's vomiting all the time.... that led to the socks in his stomach.

I really hope Wally just has a bug or virus, and it will heal up in a few days. Poor guy can't catch a break :(

Well he slept in the living room last night, and NO vomiting... I just gave him a TINY bit of food to get his pepcid down him. So far so good, but if the vomits anything I'm giving him nothing for the rest of the day. He gets nauseous from the stomach acid build up so it become a double edged sword...

And NOW of course Willow is refusing her food because she smelled the sirloin and rice... I'm SO over these dogs today!!! :rain:

they really can take a toll on us... Hang in there... let us know how the vet visit goes... So sorry.. wish you strength..

Oh UGGGGGG so sorry that you and Wallygator are going thru this!!! I pray nothing serious!!!! Please keep us posted. Hugs!!

I spoke too soon... he just vomited everything, so fasting is in order. Talking to the vet now, so I think she plans on swinging by to take a look at him.

:( how the boy? Doctor able to swing by today?

Vet came by earlier this afternoon, but I had promised Marcus to take him to Kid'n'Play this afternoon so this is the first chance I've had to post...

She made an emergency visit because I had given him ice chips and 15min later he had thrown up. Did a physical exam, and she doesn't believe it's an obstruction. Gave him 2 shots (Cerenia, Benz, B12 & Pred) and gave me more Cerenia pills (anti nausea) to keep on hand. I just fed him a small amount of bland diet 2 hours ago and he's been fine, just sleepy. Honestly I think it was just a stomach bug, and when he starts vomiting he just can't stop. This has happened several times with him and I usually have pills on hand, but I had run out.

SO I'm hoping that this is the end of our drama... I made Lily sit downstairs w/him while I was out w/Marcus. He was just sleepy, and the vet told me he would be out of it today. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I wanted to add that I asked my vet about the dog flu that is ALL over the media... she said that she hasn't heard anything thru her channels, and she told me that the media likes to hype up these stories for their shock value. She said she has seen a lot of dogs for allergy related issues, nothing else out of the ordinary. Sometimes (MOST) of the time the media is the devil...

funny/not funny thing though,,,, is it does seem to be all over 'our' media here... Seemed so odd that a few here were going through the same stuff...

Wally is doing fine, he's just tired... it has been pouring rain here for several days straight. I had to take Marcus to a movie to get him out of the house, but Lily was keeping an eye on Wally.
