Hi, I would take him to the vet and have him checked out, maybe some blood tests? There are many causes for excessive thirst such as dehydration, liver problems, diabetes, kidney problems, Cushings Disease and many medications used for inflammation and allergies. I know some allergy meds will make our puppies sleepy and thirsty. But I agree with Vikinggirl... could be a symptom that should be addressed.

I agree. It could be nothing but medication side effects, but it is worth checking out.
