Our plans for pups from Usko got crushed yesterday. We had his spine X-rayed, cause he had some pain in his back awhile ago. The pain was not from his spine, but we thought to investigate, never the less. It seems he has such changes in his spine that it would not be wise to reproduct. The vet thinks that it won't efect Usko's life much, not in his youth, but it can cause problems in his later years. Well, later years tend to cause problems to us all....So we have to forget his son and agility, but a lot of exercise will keep him fit.
Needles to say I'm devastated, but the main thing in the end is that Usko will be OK, even though there will be no sons and daughters for him. Usko will be one of a kind, forever.
When I found this out, it didn't take me much time to make new plans for a friend for Usko...and the wheels are in motion...I may have something interesting to share with you in no time....Here's some pics from last weeks winter fun....

So sorry to hear about Usko!!! He is such a beautiful boy. :luv:

I want to thank you for not passing along traits and characteristics that could break someone's heart in the future.

As a victim of such a heartbreak, Thank You.

Awesome winter Usko pics!

Usko is such a handsome fella. I love all the pics and videos you share of him. And your love for him just shines through your posts.

Usko is one of a kind and I applaud you for doing the right thing and not breeding him and passing on this trait. Usko was meant to be a one and only and I'm sure the friend you pick out for him will be just as beautiful and wonderful as he is due to your love.

It is people such as yourself that make good decisions based on many factors here, medical issues, passing things to another dog possibly, saving someone else the pain of having to deal with the medical issues that possibly may be passed on due to breeding just to breed and make some money. I always wondered if I would ever meet someone like you who had such an opportunity to breed choosing not to because of well being of all that is included. Thanks for being a great example. Thank you for sharing. I hope you find your next little friend soon. God bless

Oh noooo so sorry to hear this. I know how much you wanted Usko to be a daddy. Very glad to hear that he'll be ok though. :luv:

So very sorry, I know you were looking forward to Usko being a dad. But I'm glad he's healthy ... and tremendously happy! You're definitely going to fall in love with Usko's new bro or sis in no time. Don't forget to update us as soon as you know anything ok? :D

Love the photo of him running.....

oh I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm sorry that your plans to stud Usko didnt work out for you, but at least Usko is fine and he won"t have any problems from his spine abnormality. I hope your news you have to share with us is a new EB baby, and am excited to see what your news is.

I can't wait to hear what's next for our one-and-only Usko!!

So, he wont be able to do any agility at all because it will cause him pain? Or because after long term physical exertion, it might worsen his condition quickly?

I too, am sorry. He was meant to be one of a kind. And I agree with others, you are doing the right thing for all Bully's. Wish more people would follow this example.

I'm sorry to hear about Usko, but as everyone else said, Thank You for doing the right thing. I love the picture of him running in the snow its fantastic.
