Has the vet done a skin scrape to check for mange or dermatitis?

Yes...something is definitely going on...poor baby, very sore looking

Try some Vetercyn Spray or gel on these areas...let us know...praying
for Winston that this heals, pronto!

Hello thank you for all the comments.

Just an update he is eating now. Not as before but he is eating what is put down for him. Drinking fine as per usual. He now just seems to be really irritated by something at the rear as i mentioned before.

Tail pocket looks ok. Although he now seems to be looking a bit sore round the bum. Possibly from where he sort of drags himself as he is craning his neck round.

Will probably have to take him back to vets but as they are not bully specialists is there anything particular i should ask them to look at?

Just to add the vet drained his anal glands a few days ago...

Walter had his anals drained last week, and he still is acting kooky about it. I honestly think it takes a few days...

I would press for an X-ray from the vet. There might be something lodged in the lower rectum/intestine. Growing up, my dog had gotten hold of a chicken bone and a splinter was lodger vertical in his rectum and needed to be surgically removed.

Hi all thanks for all help.

Just a quick update. Winston was thoroughly examined yesterday head to tail. Absolutely nothing wrong. Vet thinks he has irritated skin and gave him a steroid tablet. As of today he has been back to his usual happy ways. No more craning his head etc and he is now eating like a dustbin again. So fingers crossed hes all good now!
