Ok, so I thought in my head that Ernie was pretty much housebroken. He is almost 7 months. He had gone 9 days with no accidents. He does not ask to go out and I take him out every 90 minutes. Did not want to say the days outloud or I would jinx it. So after 9 days he pooped in the house. No big deal...we had a good run. Since then he has peed twice(never had a pee accident except when a tiny baby) in a row in two days. Did I read somewhere that at a certain age they have a relapse?

yes you did read that somewhere, all of mine did that, one of them even went so far as to pee on the sofa, :cursing: put a stop to that quick

I've been working very hard with my adopted 5 y/o Cami and just posted
on out great progress...two days later, she soaked my bed.
:bitching: She's lost
her privileges for now and we go back to basics. She gives no signals either
altho, just now, she went out in the hall then turned around, came back and
stood in my bedroom doorway looking at me and when I asked her, Do you
want to 'go Potty outside?' she turned and went to the outside door and I
let her out. She went to her area, did her business and we came back inside.
Had I not looked up, I'd have missed it, she will not bark or come to get my
attention. So...we ARE making progress and she is learning that going outside
is the thing to do and she is starting to let me know that, altho very quietly!

Hang in there, it will happen. GOD bless y'all!

Yep that's the teen years where they test their boundaries! Stinkers!

Back to basics for potty training again....

Thankfully Brutus potty trained great. I have found though that he does not bark to go out. He rarely barks at all. Sometimes he will go sit by the back door or he will stop what he is doing and kinda walk in circles.

My boy Tate is 2 and 1/2 yo and he peed in my bed just last week. Plus he threw up that same night, in my bed (but that's another story)! So, yeah, there will be those little "accidents" every now and then still to come.
