A little background: I’ve had many dogs in my life, and right now I own 4. two mixed rescue dogs, 1 18 month old female, spayed English bulldog, and one four month old male intact English bulldog. The female was a little bit of a struggle to potty train until we bought her a doorbell, now we have no issues our four month old however, has been a nightmare. We brought him home at eight weeks, and from the very beginning took him outside to particular spot, Put him in his crate at night time or when we leave the house and this boy cannot grasp the concept. We’ll take him outside and wait while he pees three times and poops. I give him a ton of praise, pets, throw a puppy party. We’ll bring him back in and in the next 15 minutes he’ll pee three times. Sometimes it feels like he hasn’t left my sight and I’ll find puddles of pee. I can’t even figure out where they’ve come from. In one day, I may clean up 12 to 13 puddles of urine and this is an addition to going outside in the designated spot. He pees in his crate, whether he’s in it half an hour or overnight and I have had it with washing dog beds. He gives no indication that he needs to go. There is no sniffing around, twirling in place, or acting weird. In fact, the only tell I’ve possibly seen is that if he stops chewing on a bone he may need to go to the bathroom.. whenever he stops playing or moving. We panic lol . I don’t know what to do. I’ve never had a problem potty training my dogs. like I said, right now I have four, but I’m almost 50 years old. I’ve had dogs my whole life and I’ve potty trained every last one of them in a matter of two weeks. we’ve had this dog 12 weeks and he’s not even remotely close to being potty trained
