I picked Roxie up this morning and brought her home⦠normally she is super excited to see me, but this time she looked right thru me
ALL she is doing at home is pacing, not eating or drinking. I talked to the vet, she said not to panic she was well hydrated there so give her time. We are still waiting on biopsy results...
I had a LONG talk w/my vet, and I think we are pretty sure what is going on here. She has a brain tumor
It's the ONLY thing that explains her behavior lately. Cushings dogs have tumors and sometimes they are located in the brain⦠malignant or not. IF her biopsy comes up positive for lymphoma then depending on what stage she is at we can consider chemo, and that would attack the tumor in her brain. If the biopsy is negative, that means that something else is going on (or it still could be a brain tumor). She would have to send up to a specialist at that point⦠an MRI would confirm tumors, but she told me that would cost 2K. I'm not concerned about the cost, I have the funds for it⦠I just don't know if it would change the outcome.
I'm so heartbroken⦠I just can't believe this is happening to my girl. She was doing SO well just a few months ago, and I was so positive that we were going to be able to handle the cushings/thyroid issues. I'm just praying for a miracle at this pointā¦
