Hello folks

Looking for advice , I recently just bought a beautiful little blue girl and she is roughly 15 weeks

I have had her home for 2 weeks now and when we bought her she had eye infection in both eyes and they where treated with eye drops ?
However she has not developed cherry eye in one eye ?? , we have tried massaging it back in but it keeps popping out and getting worse??

The bloke I got her from has offered for her to have operation at his vet if we half the cost which I have no problem with but have a few concerns and would really appreciate any help you guys could offer

Is she too young at 15 weeks to have this op done

Really really concerned and have no idea what to do

Many thanks
E

Nyala had one as a pup n when she got fixed, they fixed her cherry eye will at it. One one stitch. Shes 9 now n never had issues. You can wait and do everything at the same time.

Hi and thanks , what do you mean do everything at the same time ??
I just thought she might be too young as I know some vets up here in Scotland won't touch her with surgery till she is 12 months old 😞😞😞

Helene means.. she had it done while another surgical procedure was being done so she doesn’t have to under twice. Keep in mind cherry eye is not painful it just looks worse than it is

Like @2BullyMama mention, Nyala was getting spayed and I waited to do the cherry eye at the same time. Cherry eye isn’t dangerous, you can wait when you decide to get her fix. If you decide not to have her fix, just do the eye. I too did push back in the cherry eye but when Nyala got excited or played rough, it would pop back out. 🤷🏼‍♀️
