The vet said hes not teething he thinks he has some sort of clotting disorder but we wont get blood tests back for a couple days, he started a couple antibiotics so hopefully that helps, I AM TERRIFIED!
Did the vet fully examine Rebel's mouth and teeth? I ask b/c a year ago Finn had some bleeding from his mouth too and it turned out to be a broken tooth which abscessed. At first the vet asked me if Finn got into some rat poison somewhere since that can cause bleeding. Then she took a closer look and discovered the tooth issue. She ended up extracting the tooth and Finn was fine afterwards. I know what the vet said is very scary but try to not freak out as it could be something as "minor" as a broken tooth. You haven't noticed any other areas of bleeding? Thinking if it's a blood clot disorder then he would be showing signs of bleeding/bruising elsewhere in his body too.
He did a pretty thorough look i think, he barely rubbed his gums and he was bleeding pretty bad just from that, he said it didnt make sense for them to bleed that bad just from rubbing them a little bit
My Dozer was having similar problems, & went into what's called acute immune-mediated hemolytic anemia secondary to chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Two years later, despite several health concerns, he is still with me! Keep the faith.
I'm sorry you didn't get any answers, ans still have to wait for tests before you know anything more. Keeping you and Rebel in my thoughts and prayers, and sending love and hugs that he's okay. Please keep us posted when you get his test results. Try not to worry too much Hun, he's going to be okay.
