hi, i picked up my new pup this weekend and was after your knowledge please.
i have a 8 week old male. i was after some advice on what the best food is to give him
i have taken him to the vets this morning and have been told he is over weight.
thanks for any help
.he is 6kg.
i feed him lamb mice tripe and dr johns grain free kibble ( as previoulsy advised )

I always tell people to look on dogfoodadvisor.com for the best dog food brands (depending where you live). I fed my pups Fromm's in the pink bag, and they thrived on it. Some vets will say that bulldogs are overweight, but the truth is that they are a stocky breed... could you post a pic of your new baby?!!

I don’t know how an 8 week old can already be overweight. Bulldog puppies are normally little chunks and you want to make sure they are eating plenty and getting the nutrition they need.

Hi there, in UK you will find acana. Stick with that if you want a quality kibble. After EACH single protein bag, select another bag different protein. It’s very important you do rotations with protein at that age as you will avoid allergies if any. Don’t be afraid to feed chicken as his immune system will build up strong towards any food allergies. Do the single protein bags n don’t mix protein cause if, only if he does have an allergy, it will be easier to know which one as you’ll have your ingredients. Start with Duck as it’s easier to digest.

BTW, 6k is definitely not overweight. It’s only 13lbs.

Ask your butcher for marrow bones cut up 3ā€. Feed from frozen. He will enjoy them n full of probiotics which is great for his immune system.

feeding my 16 week old royal canin puppy bulldog, packet advises 341 grams over 3 meals . Does this seem right?
