Okay so I may be worrying for nothing, but Princess just ate an onion ring that was dropped on the ground. She is like a shark, you literally have no time to pick something up after it is dropped before she has already eaten it, this is the only time that she actually moves fast!! It happened about 45 minutes ago and she is acting like her normal self. Should I be worried?? It was just one so I feel like I'm overreacting a bit...

I know onions are not good for dogs-but I don't think that one will hurt her. I know I always have to be careful, when I take my meds. because mine are sharks, too! In fact, I always tell my niece about onions, as she uses them alot-but she always give her dogs the leftovers. Nothing ever happens to her dogs-but I wouldn't do it.

OMG I have to worry about Onions too????? Seriously I hope Princess is ok. This is what I love about this site. So much Info. I had no idea that onions were bad for dogs.

I don't believe you have to worry about onions… I would say the only issue would be the "GAS" LOL :bad:

I think she will be okay, onions are very bad for dogs but I think for a bulldog they would have to eat a whole onion to be affected..... I could be wrong but I would probably be more worried about what is in the breading :yikes:

I think seeing it's cooked, she should be ok. But I can't say the same about her breath. Pee-yu! Lol. As always, just watch her for next little while. :)

Mmmm…Princess has very good taste! I love onion rings too :)
I wouldn't worry about it, like others have said. It was just one onion ring and it was cooked. I understand that you definitely do not want to be giving raw onions to dogs at all. Not cooked either, but this was just one, so she should be okay.

Thanks everyone! I figured it would be fine, I just always like confirming that she will be fine!! @desertskybulldogs lol I was thinking the same thing! Luckily they weren't too breaded, nothing grosses me out more than when there is more breading on something than the actual food it's on!!

@brutus77 I know right, this is why I love this site! If you have a question someone is here to answer. I'm always learning new things! :)

By the way.....I can already smell her :fart:!!

As others have said, I don't think that one will hurt her since it is cooked.

UGH.... might be a lot of gas, but I think it is RAW onion that is an issue for the pups.... cooked might be OK

Overreacting, too worried...us bully owners? Nah!

Melissa, as I watch Cami poo & access it's condition, I always laugh
and think, "How did I get here from being a beauty queen, high
maintnence princess, who hated ONE hair on my clothes and never
was any thing but impeccably dressed at all times. Drooling dogs...
NEVER! Looking at dog poo...DISGUSTING! Now, I watch every poo
and am so happy when it's dry, well formed pieces and worried when
it's not. Oh! How the mighty have fallen! HAHAHA GOD bless!
