Night scare...

[Manydogs]

Katie(last rescue) is one of those noisy,slurpy little piggy dogs!(not complaining!) During the night, I heard this horrible choking noise. I leaped(best I could) out of bed, and she was laying on her back,tongue about a foot long,trying to breathe and choking! I don't know if she had gotten a drink, or was choking on her own saliva. I turned her onto her stomach, started patting the back of her neck, and telling her it was okay. A puddle of saliva? water? came out of her mouth. I fixed a pillow to prop her head on(as she likes to do) and all was well. During that "episode" I was having visions of a dead dog. Today she is fine, as if nothing happened. Happy for that!

Omg that is horrible and Katie is so lucky to have you. I think we can all sympathize with you at some point or another with these crazy dogs and something scary happens.
