Thank you to everyone for the positive thoughts! Ollie was admitted into a specialist vet because he was getting worse, even on the IV. They have him for the weekend and in a oxygen tank and running tests. Just praying this works and he can come home soon. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Sending tons one of prayers and positive thoughts for you sweet boy. Please keep us posted

Sending positive thoughts n vibes..... and yes keep us posted...

So Ollie got to come home yesterday. He’s doing better, but still not 100%. They just called and said he was diagnosed with mycoplasma cynos. They prescribed him doxycycline and kept him on the other antibiotic he was originally on. He’s been sleeping a lot, which I would expect after being in the hospital for 3 days. I’ve been trying to research everything I can, but can’t really find a strait answer as to how he got this or the best ways to treat it. Has anyone else gone through this before? And thank you to everyone who wished Ollie well. He’s a strong booger! 5D67BD90-A811-4025-8A68-B874184F4CC1.jpeg

I do know that this is a bacterial infection, and it is contagious to/from other dogs. Did he come from a kennel,or a pet shop? It can also be caught from a dog who doesn't show symptoms, and your pup's immune system was weakened. Do not hesitate to take him back/or call the specialists if he doesn't improve. Ask,if you speak to them ask if a vaporizer would be helpful. Sending prayers for the little one to improve and get well soon Olliethebullie :pray2::pray::pray::pray:

He didn’t come from a kennel or a pet shop. Got him from a breeder. Have tried to contact her about it. He seems to be getting a little better, but he’s still coughing. He has a follow up appointment Tuesday, so we will see what they say. Been trying to find a veterinarian that knows a lot about bulldogs in my area (central Florida) but no luck so far.

My question is how’s your other dog?

Hello everyone!! I'm so excited to be a part of this forum. I am my Bullydog's Gigi as my son cant have his baby boy right now. I'm in Love with my Bully grandson and pretty sure my son, Houston, cant have him back LOL. My name is Staci and I preferred to be called Stac. My Bully baby is Bubba J. Nice to be on here and LOVE all the bulldog pics I've seen, simply adorable šŸ˜‰

Welcome Stac and Bubba!
I have been a member for 2 years and I love seeing all of the (mostly) silly photos of all of our fur-babies!
And learning all about the breed too. There are so many here with great advice for any questions you may have.
We need photos!
