Hugo is finally in our home

A few days ago, I finally went and picked Hugo up. It is my first English Bulldog, and so far, things have been going great. Hugo has a great personality and temperament. He also is pretty much potty trained (something I remember taking much longer with my Frenchies). Both he and my Rottie are about the messiest eaters I have ever seen - almost need a dedicated iRobot for their meal area. The only hang up at this point is getting the two dogs to co-exist well. My Rottie (who loves dogs) refused to acknowledge Hugo’s existence the day Hugo came home; Hugo, from the beginning, has wanted to play with the Rottie. However, situation improves everyday with more interest and sniffing, and I don’t foresee any problems. Very happy overall so far.

Give them about two weeks, they will be besties! When we brought Lambeau home our Frenchie, Chelios , would leave the room the first few days . Then little by little the would interact, then two weeks in bam they started playing.

Yes pups will drag anything bigger than themselves. Nice to see Hans being the big brother. I had a previous EB Duke that sadly passed at 2.5yrs young n my brindle Nyala would always put him to his place when he was out of control. Times she was rough but she was teaching him manners. Was cute in a way. You might see Hans putting Hugo also in his place. Especially when them baby shark teeth comes out to play.
