This morning I made a batch of these cookies for the boys. Just out of the oven so I don't know how they'll like it yet, but wanted to share the recipe for anyone looking for something to bake for your bully on this lovely fall day!

(recipe adapted from Justapinch website)

Ingredients:

3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup applesauce (no sugar added kind)
1/2 banana (mashed)
1 tablespoon (or more) natural peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
1/4 cup water (may need a bit more if needed to make dough more manageable)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix until just combined
3. Drop about 1 tablespoonful (or 1 teaspoon for smaller cookies), onto a parchment lined baking sheet
4. Bake for about 30-40 minutes depending on your oven (should be a hard, biscuit-like cookie)
5. Allow cookies to cool for about 2 hours, and enjoy!!

Happy to hear that!

I made another batch last weekend and mine still love them too. Finn is such a picky eater but he really chomps these down; all i have to say is "cookie" and they come running :)

Thanks I am going to try these. All the cookies I have given her seem to give her the runs. I just dumped two almost full bags of cookies. Love that it's bully tested and approved.

Tried these. I did sub organic banana baby food because for some strange reason the store had absolutely no ripe bananas. She loved them. I actually made a double batch and should have froze a half of it. I find that it was a bit more doughy than a hard cookie consistency. Oh well I will try again.

These cookies sound yummy. I'll definetely have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing, I'm always looking for new recipes to try. Awesome.

Glad Raven liked 'em! you may need to bake a tad longer if you want a crispier consistency.
