GUMBO needs our prayers!

Gumbo update from EBRN Houston:

I have very sad news Gumbo had his eye surg today that went well. However he had a very difficult time coming out of anesthesia his throat basically swelled. He turned blue 3 times they where able to bring him back. He is now at the ER and they are trying there best to get the swelling down. He is still tracted and on heavy meds they have him on steroids to bring down the swelling. Being a super Bulldog Person yourself you know it always a risk to put these guys under ( Pls say Prayers they can save him.

Gumbo is a bulldog that we held an auction for to help pay for his medical needs so together let us pray he makes it!!!!

UPDATE:

So sorry to have to say this, but Gumbo is getting worse so they have to put him down. Poor boy, may he rest in peace.

oh no! thank God he is in Good hands, i will be thinking about gumbo. he was my fav rescue bully. my Lola is going in for palate surgery first thing tomorrow morning. she's spending the night at the clinic. so scary when it comes to just breathing normally for these guys. i can't ever stop worrying. I'll be thinking of gumbo too tho. sad face
