On the computer tonight looking for information on my English Bulldog, Max. He is 14 months old. Seems to be having trouble keeping water down and throws up a lot. Now throws up after he eats. Several times a day.
Max is our second E Bulldog and I don't remember these problems with our first.
Anyone with information on what may be going on? Thanks Mike

Not being a vet it's hard to say. It could be a small esophagus, megaesophagus, elongated soft pallet, ulcer, infection or even a blockage. I would suggest having Max checked out by a vet.

Agree, something is going on with Max, find out what it is.
Let us know what a bulldog experienced Vet says is the issue.

Sounds like a trip to the vets is in order. There could be something going on in his esophagus. As a first aid you could try giving his food in smaller portion 3-4 times a day and a pepcid 30min after and before bed time.

Totally agree, vomiting both water and food certainly needs a Dr. visit.

Thanks folks for all the replys. Will have him checked out. Mike

Being the new guy here I did not expect this much attention to Max's problem. I was totally amazed in everyone offering their input. Thank you. I would love to post a few pics of Max for all to see just as soon as I figure out how to do it. Mike

Hi Mike,

I do agree with others, a vet visit is definitely in order.

Quick little tip. How do you current feed Max? Does he eat out of bowl on the floor? If so I would try feeding him on a raised level, where the food is more level with him. I don't have this exact one, but here's a pic as a idea of what I'm talking about.

This is better for their necks, joints, and overall digestion. Please keep us posted on the visit and what they find. Hope its nothing serious. Hugs to Max!

Welcome to EBN. Best of luck with Max. I would absolutely have him checked by his vet.

I would be at the vet --- not holding water is scary to me.

when you post ... there is a menu bar at the top of the box where you are typing.... the 4th icon (little square) hoover over it and it will say 'insert image'. The select your photo and upload.

Thanks Jessica, and yes Max has a plastic raised Double Diner feeding tray holder. Has stainless steel bowls. We got it at Petsmart.Today we tried the feeding less and a bit more often. Seems to have helped. Thanks. Mike

I posted a few pics of Max in the photo section. Thanks again everyone. Mike
