What colour is Boycie

Hello all,

I have a bulldog of who we rescued a year or so ago, a family friend came into possession of him and for personal reasons couldn’t keep him so we took him on.

He’s a gorgeous boy, great personality however his colouring is unique and I have rarely seen a bulldog with his fur.

Could somebody assist and tell me what colour our gorgeous boy is?

The lightish-tan colour is called "fawn".
is his left eye half blue or is that some lighting trickery? I don't think I've ever seen an eye half-colour like that on anything

Yeah he has half a blue eye, this picture captures it much better

He does appear fawn to me @Cbrugs or @oscarmayer would have been insight.

regardless of color he is a handsome boy!

This is Jake. First photo he was 3 months old n had green eyes. The coat color is same as your dog n also has merle markings on his ears like yours. His colour is blue fawn Lilac as per his tests. I ended up taking his brother whom sadly passed at 2.5 yrs old. Later went back n went home with Jake whom by fluke was keep to breed. Go figure. And yes, as per photos, Jake’s eyes changed from green to hazel .

He’s cute but not a standard color. While he looks fawnish, probably has some sort of lilac or something in him. Plus the nose and his pigment are not black.

This color looks to be somewhere between fawn and red. This does not look like a "standard" color. He's very handsome though. That eye is particularly unusual.

I think he’s definitely predominantly more fawn, with Merle markings on his ears and potentially minimal lilac. I can see why red has been suggested but I’ve seen red bulldogs before and he’s definitely much lighter.

However yes, the family are very lucky to have such a handsome character.
