Veterinarian Recommendations

We live in Limerick, PA, but drive 45 minutes for the best vet! Our pups are treated like royalty when we go and both of them love being with all the techs, receptionists and doctors. There are five doctors on staff, but the our bulldog doctor is Dr. Joe Rossi.

We take Zeus to Cross County Veterinary Clinic in Wynne, Arkansas. They are wonderful. Our breeder uses them as well. They have also bred and show their own Bulldogs in the past. We are currently in the process of relocating to the Cincinnati OH area and are needing a vet. Any recommendations?

I live in central Alabama, near Birmingham, and I didn't see any on the list that are close to me either... So, I started researching and just found Dr. J Allen Borden at Galleria Animal Clinic in Birmingham/Hoover. He was listed on a few other bulldog sites saying he specializes in the breed. I couldn't find a website for the actual clinic, but I think I'll give them a call and see about making Katie and appointment. If all goes well, I'll write up a proper recommendation afterwards!

Last weekend, I took Katie to an awesome vet specializing in bulldogs. As I stated previously, I found him buy doing a little research online since there were no vets recommended on this site that were in my area. I found out that this vet is used by members of other bulldog pages as well as by english bulldog breeders. I was very nervous for Katie's appointment, but he was very understanding and looked her over thoroughly. He made me feel comfortable and explained things to me and answered any questions I had along the way. The appointment didn't take a whole lot of time, but I left there with such a big sense of relief! There are pictures of bulldogs in his office and exam rooms, and he really did know what he was talking about. He related Katie to a bulldog he had seen earlier that very morning, even. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable. She had an exam, all her shots, heartworm testing, two months of heartworm meds, anal glands emptied, nails clipped, and some allergy pills all for around $135. His info is as follows:

he is a bulldog specialist, and owns them also!!!!!!! he has a brand new laser, and used it on my Buster back in June for pallet /eye surgery. open 7 days a week. easy to find off of 217 everyone from the coast also goes over to him.

Knuckles73-I live in sarasota and currently take my dogs (1 bulldog and 2 terriers) to Dr. K at Forrest Lake animal clinic off of Weber. He seems to be very good and his fees are the best I've ever had with a vet. Do you know anything about him? I'm thinking maybe I should at least change Bubba over to Dr Koch though. Sounds like he knows his stuff

I would pose this question on the forum- so that members in your area, can recommend a good BULLDOG vet, it takes a vet who is more specialized in working with Bulldogs to keep them in good health. so many things are different than other breeds that vets can misinterpret many things unknowingly.
let me get a hold of a bulldog owner that I know in your area .in sarasota actually.
