Veterinarian Recommendations

Good Day,
I have two vets that I use. One the westside is Dr. Peterson @ 6238465635. His practice is well established and he does lots of EBD clients.

We live in the Central Valley, Ca. Our first vet was a nightmare. We found by taking to other Bullie owners a wonderful vet. Abby Pet Hospital 4508 E. Ashlan, Fresno, Ca. 93726 559-442-1127 Abby Pet Hospital . We see Dr. Clarity Skeen, she is gentle and very knowledgeable about English Bulldogs. I have also see the other vets there in a pinch. They have a low cost vaccine clinic as well.

I would like to recommend our vet who has become known locally as "The Bulldog Dr." She was with another vet and a year or so ago opened her own practice. She is the ONLY vet here and it is a small practice. She has so many bullies she takes care of..there has not been a time there for us when we were the only bulldog "in the house"!. They have a great website www.familydogandcathospital and send out e newsletters for each pet with great age and breed info

Here is a local vet that knows a lot about the EB breed. She can even do C-Sections. She was Winstons vet and is now Matildas vet.

My vet is not a "bulldog expert" but yesterday I saw Dr. Edlin at East Louisville Animal Hospital and was very impressed with his bully knowledge. Thanks to all of the members of this site, I was armed with information and knew what to look for. Not only did he say the right things and give the right recommendations, you could tell that he sincerely enjoyed meeting Gator. He mentioned we needed the proper food (and thought what we are feeding is great for him) which I was surprised about. Not all vets understand the importance of food in this breed. He also looked at Gator's eyes (without being asked) and instead of saying we will need this or that surgery, he made thoughtful observations that, after doing some research, I had already found to be best for him. Overall, I would give him a 10 out of 10.

I have also found the other vets in the practice to be thoughtful and caring. When Gator had his neutering, the vet gave us his cell phone number so we could call at any time in the night (on a Friday night no less) and the tech called several times that night and the next morning to check on him.

My vet is Dr. Miranda Bauer, who would be the first to say she is not a bulldog specialist. But she knows her stuff when it comes to this breed.

I use

Dr. Richard Kaas
Mercy Animal Hospital
81 Daniel Webster Highway
Merrimack, NH 03054
603-882-0087

I've also used in the past

Dr. Richard McAroy
Lowell Road Veterinary Center
279 Lowell Road
Hudson, NH 03051
603-882-8825

Dr. McAroy does to vet care for the english bulldog rescue...

I stopped using him as I find him to be very full of himself, will not listen to anyone, pushes the vaccines, will not approve online meds...and so on..but he does know english bulldogs.

Hi,

I have another Vet recommendation in the Phoenix Arizona metro area. This Vet clinic not only is a full service, but ehy specialize in laser surgery. This is great news for soft pallet removal. FAR less evassive, damaging or complicated. Less bleeding, quicker recovery both at clinic and at home.

They also specialize in hip certification and use a procedure that can certify at one year rather than the normal two of normal x-ray type.

Babe's vet is the best in our place. He is so kind and very approachable unlike other vets. I always recommend him to other dog owners in our place.
