There are some great people out there

A couple years ago I hiked Mt. Olympus in Utah, & we went down the wrong side. We had to call Search & Rescue, & the officer that rescued us slipped & fell to his death. I took this photo of him when he got put of the helicopter.
So I wrote a card saying how sorry & how thankful I am, & framed the photo, & gave it to his family. I'm good friends with his family now, they are the most loving people I have ever met. The officer's mother did a painting of Debo for me after he died. It's so special & looks just like him. I just wanted to share it!

Oh wow, Emily, thank you for sharing this. Sometimes, we're bombarded with so much "bad stuff" on the news that the good folks are overshadowed. That's such a beautiful painting of Debo.
