I thought I'd tell you guys about my little pity party the other night. :tissue:I work with community college students and love my job, even though some of the students make that difficult at times. My boss has had a family emergency, and as her #2 in command, I have stood in for her very often (part of the reason you haven't seen me here so much) during the past year. Saturday she asked me to stand in for her at graduation, which meant I had to go to the 3 1/2-hour rehearsal that morning, and pin the nursing graduates as they walked across the stage that night. I was happy to do this. I felt honored that she asked me to stand in for her. Saturday evening, 1 hour before graduation, she called to tell me that I needed to have an award with me that was being presented. The award was back on campus. I rushed back to the school, found the award, raced back to the arena, just in time to give the award to the presenter, put on my regalia, and march into the arena with the rest of the faculty. I was frazzled! :yell: I noticed that all the nursing instructors were holding large bouquets of flowers. I finished the night with a sore back, aching feet, and hundreds of little holes in my finger from pinning close to 100 students. I was the only instructor who didn't get flowers--after giving up my Saturday for those guys! Then a good friend sent this to me, not knowing what happened. Timing is everything. :ashamed: I felt pretty stupid for being hurt. So many people have so many problems much bigger than this. It put the night in perspective.

For you, Chris...........flowers.jpgWe ALL appreciate you!

Thank you, dear Chris, I too, needed to see this reminder. Started moving
things into my new house (an hour away) this past wk-end. Not going well!
I'm sore and exhausted and because of the changes & activities going on,
Mother took big steps backwards in her behavior, speech & gets up at night,
ALL night. I'm way beyond tired! Phone of ONE month conked out had to buy
new one, lost my data, ph #s & pics I'd taken to post here last week.

Anyone that knows you, Chris, feels blessed & knows how wonderful a person
you are. At EBN...you're a treasure! I know you aren't fishing for compliments,
this happens to be the truth. Hey...we all want to be appreciated, acknowledged
and need pats on the back, not a thing wrong with that! You are beloved and like
my dear friends above, here are your well earned and deserved flowers. Also, a
party thrown in your honor, with all of us, drinking, dancing and having fun :)
GOD bless you & yours...always, Chris...we love YOU.

Well no one likes to be left out or forgotten, especially when you put in such a great effort. So I am also sending you a great big  and the :daisy:you deserve. Good Job.

flowers die. I want diamonds!! Forget the flowers and think of the lives you have just bettered for generations to come by being a nursing instructor. You dont need flowers to be thanked, you have left a dynasty

So true what Tracy said but I am sending you flowers too as you deserve them as well for what you did. :daisy: and a  for you too.
