Hi.

We are new. Me and my partner has just bought an old english bulldog. He is 8 weeks old and we brought him home on Monday. Toilet training is going well so far which is good.

I am having issues with chewying and knowing exactly how much dry food to give me. I have purina brand and it says 60g in 24hours as he weights 4kg. I have been weighing out 15g 4 times a day but he still seems so hungry.

Can you help?

Welcome to EBN!!

What a handsome little fella!

lovely. Welcome aboard. You might want to reevaluate your dog food brand. There are better rated brands than Purina. There are other well known grain free brands. You can search at dogfoodadvisor.com

I have tried better brands. For example the Wainwright brand and it made him poorly and very lethargic. The purina seems to be a lot better for him. He is a much happier, more energetic pup. And his toileting went back to normal.

If my maths is correct, he is only about 3 months old and you have only had him a month. You have to slowly add the new food to the old food over a period of about 7 - 10 days otherwise it can really upset their stomach if you just do an immediate switch. How many foods have you tried and how long was he on each one? He is a handsome little fellow!
