I just took photos of my niece this weekend. She is 16 and got all dressed up for her first dance...homecoming. I took them with a "soft" filter...it's supposed to soften the effect. I'm not sure if I like it. What do you think?

Almost too soft, well on the 2nd one, but I like it... it works. Great job making sure the red pops.

I like how they had the black and red thing going... good looking couple and nice pics.

Almost to the point where it looks unfocused..do you think? I'm kicking myself..I was so focused on trying to soften the photo...I should of removed the filter for at least half the shots. BUT, I'm still learning...so I'll just chalk it up to "lesson learned".

yes, I agree a little too soft. still great pics though! I LOVE her dress, it's so fun! what kind of camera do you use? I'm saving up for a nice camera, and figured you were the person to ask!

I actually like them like that... They look "old fashion". Too bad you didn't have a bullie in the one with the red flower. Could have gone on the photo contest.

I think it worked well in the 2nd photo. Gorgeous!

I have the Canon Rebel XT, it's a SLR made about 5 years ago.. They have some real nice models now. I'd either get a Canon or a Nikon. I'm more of a Canon girl. Some of the newer SLR's even have video on them.. It's time for me to upgrade!

I like them .... you have a genuine talent!!
