Mama's got a new baby!

Hello All! I wanted to introduce my beloved Chancho! He's 9 weeks old. We picked him up last night and he's the sweetest! He's transitioning very well! When we first got home he whined a bit so we made sure to keep things quiet and not stress him out. He goes #1 on his potty pads but seems to not like the idea when it comes to #2. We just moved into our home last November so I really didn't want to take him into our backyard until he had all of his shots BUT he won't go anywhere else so I feel kinda stuck. At this point, I've given in and taken him out only to go #2 then quickly bring him in. If anyone has any tips on how we can get him to go #2 inside please let me know.

It was soooo hard to go to work this morning. My hubby is a lucky guy and works from home so he gets to spend the day with our lil guy...(he's so darn lucky!) By the time I got home from work Chancho was running around the house with my daughter....looks like he's getting comfortable quick :D We just love the little guy.

He is so cute! I have to take my Lola out in the yard to go number two also but then its right back in. I am so glad he is settling in so well! he is so so handsome!

That's one handsome Bully boy, Chanco (love his name)...and smart!

As long as it's a guick in & out, he should be okay, I think it's great he's so
adamant about doing his business outside. If still concerned, keep wipes by
the door and wipe off bottom of his paws. Congratulations! Texas Carol

Yes I'm so relieved that he is getting comfortable so quickly. I was scared that he might stress out in a new house.

@texascarol yes i'm so happy to see he likes doing his business outside but it is scary. i'll def take your advice and wipe his paws...great idea!

OMG Chancho is adorable....

I wouldnt discorage him from doing his #2's outside as that is super good at his age. I'd carry on as you are and wipe his paws when you bring him in.

He is adorable...I would bring him out to do his business in your backyard and just wipe him down well. Just curious is he going to be 6 weeks when you get him? Puppies are with the mother until 8 weeks minimum.

Nope getting her at 6 weeks she will be 7 weeks a couple days after I get her. The others she is keeping tell 7 to 8 weeks.
